More Stuffing

Today I originally sat down to write some thoughts on Kindle. Then I realized that I was just beating my fists on my dusty old books like a cantankerous stick-in-the-mud. Let technology take its course. Everything unlikable (no touch screen? can't share books with others? not sharing profits with bloggers?) will all be ironed out in the end, by this or other portable readers.

This, though, is much more interesting: 1000 albums you should hear before you die.

My first reaction: why no Loveless? And why Hatful of Hollow? The answer:
Where there was a good alternative to the blindingly obvious album, we went for the alternative. After all, who needs to be told, yet again, to buy Revolver or Pet Sounds?
I'll get right on that. In the meantime, I'm off to the farmers market to shop for vegetable pot pie ingredients, followed by an attempt to spend way too much money on earthenware. And if you're having any anxieties over the chaos of tomorrow, The Morning News has it covered: Andrew Womack offers some words of advice on saying secular grace, while Ralph Gamelli, fearing the worst, instructs us on how to abandon our families.
