3 things

I just finished the first book in my From The Stacks Reading Challenge (The Road Through The Wall). I hope to have a review up tomorrow. In the meantime, here are 3 things...

  • Chris Ware designed a series of Thanksgiving covers for The New Yorker. Also, Ware talks about his series. The nostalgist in me gets giddy over Ware. He is someone who appreciates the stories of old houses, the inward drama in the outwardly mundane. (via kottke)

  • Murakami gets lifted. I wonder what authors think of this. Are they flattered, or peeved? (via Largehearted Boy)

  • The song "Roscoe" by Midlake has crept on me like kudzu. It has been on repeat for days now, and will definitely be on my year-end mix of favorites. Last year, I stayed up in the wee hours of Christmas Eve sewing pieces of handmade paper into CD sleeves. They turned out so lovely that I have decided to repeat the endeavor this year, though I think I'll start sooner.
