Yesterday there were little fairies flying outside of my office window in midtown. I’m not kidding. Little specks gusting by in random order: some quick, some slow. It looked like it does right before the very first snow, when the first dust starts falling, or like when there’s a bonfire nearby and the ashes are spread by the wind. I spent a half an hour staring at these specks flying through the sky, and as soon as I said out loud "they’re fairies," they disappeared.
