Oh, Nine.
Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 02:49PM It would be appropriate on this here looking-back blog to give a beautiful sendoff to this year, marked with a list of books I've loved or music that moved me (though how much would you be interested in a list of Alex Chilton and Todd Rundgren songs, really?), honor new friendships forged and new experiences undertaken. That's what I do, after all: look back. But I can't help but think that if you've been around here reading long enough, you have a fairly good idea of what this year has been like for me. And I'm too cozy here with a dog nudging my arms for a pet, my toes curled into wool socks, listening to the snow melting off the rooftops to think of spending an extra minute of this great year looking back.
Linking back, however, works quite nicely. And in that handy way in which somehow experiences form around geography, I'm able to offer you: 2009 in cities.
Happy New Year, everyone. Let's hope 2010 provides us with just as much to write about.
