Flies That Don't Fly But Take Public Transportation

1. In the back seat of a Saab, Vecpiebalga to Rīga, after a weekend at the vasarnīca. He flew around for a bit when we stopped for ice cream, stretching his wings, and then settled back down for the rest of the journey home.

2. Yesterday morning on the subway, lingering on the sign that flashed between "8 Avenue Exp" and "Ozone Pk/Lefferts Blvd" in case he forgot where he was headed.
