I haven't been weighing in much on any book world discussions lately; I'm enjoying reading and writing at the moment, and to get involved in the discussions of either might ruin that enjoyment. But I did want to weigh in on this because oh my goodness are you kidding me The Corrections? And everyone knows I melt into a puddle of warm tinglies at the slightest mention of anything to do with David Mitchell, but I think even DM would acknowledge that 2666 belongs higher than Cloud Atlas. Gilead deserves some nudging up the ladder as well. And where, pray tell, is Snow? Then again, these things are always subjective. As proof, my top book of the last decade? Darkmans.
